Amy Wallace is the journalist and author who spent four years working closely with the late Virginia Roberts Giuffre to write Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice — the first and only time Giuffre’s story has been told fully in her own words. Published this week, the memoir is a powerful and unflinching account of Giuffre’s childhood abuse, the years she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and the extraordinary courage it took to reclaim her life and fight for justice.
Giuffre’s decision to speak out not only brought her abusers to justice but also sparked a global reckoning around sexual exploitation, accountability, and survivor advocacy. Through years of interviews, research, and collaboration, Wallace helped bring that story to the page — preserving Giuffre’s voice and legacy for generations to come.
An award-winning journalist, Wallace’s work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, GQ, Wired, Vanity Fair, and the Los Angeles Times, among others. In this conversation, she will share insights from their collaboration, behind-the-scenes stories from writing Nobody’s Girl, and reflections on Giuffre’s extraordinary strength and the movement she helped ignite.
